This policy applies to all applicants seeking admission to Traden Online School, whether for Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, language programmes, or other academic and enrichment courses.
2. Aims of the Policy
The aims of this Admissions Policy are to:
• Ensure a clear, consistent, and non-discriminatory approach to student admissions.
• Provide equal opportunities for students regardless of nationality, gender, religion, special educational needs, or socio-economic background.
• Match students with the most suitable course based on their age, academic level, and language ability.
• Provide parents/guardians with sufficient information to make informed decisions about enrolment.
3. Admission Criteria
a) Age Requirements
• Cambridge Primary: Learners must typically be aged 5 to 11.
• Cambridge Lower Secondary: Learners must typically be aged 11 to 14.
• Other courses may have flexible age guidelines depending on content and learning goals.
b) Language Proficiency
• While fluency in English is not mandatory for younger learners, students may be asked to complete a short placement test to determine their English language support needs.
• Language courses (English, French, Arabic) may also involve an assessment to determine the appropriate level.
c) Technology Requirements
As an online school, families must ensure:
• Access to a stable internet connection.
• A compatible device (laptop, tablet, or desktop computer).
• Headphones and a webcam for live sessions.
d) Parental Support
For younger learners, especially those in Primary, Traden Online School requires a responsible adult to support the child’s learning routine at home and communicate regularly with the school.
4. Admissions Process
- Initial Inquiry
• Parents or learners can submit an inquiry form via our website.
• A member of the Admissions Team will respond within 48 hours. - Application Submission
• Applicants must complete the online application form.
• Required documents:
▪ Birth certificate or passport copy
▪ Recent school reports (if applicable)
▪ Proof of ID of parent/guardian
▪ Completed medical/emergency contact form - Interview/Assessment
• For some programmes, students may be invited to an informal online interview or to complete a placement assessment.
• This is to better understand the learner’s needs, goals, and academic level. - Offer of Admission
• Once all documents are received and assessments (if required) are completed, Traden Online School will issue a formal offer of admission via email. - Enrolment Confirmation
• Parents confirm enrolment by signing the Parent Agreement and submitting the first tuition payment.
• Access to the learning platform and orientation schedule will be shared shortly after confirmation.
5. Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Traden Online School welcomes applications from students with learning differences and special educational needs. We aim to provide appropriate support within our resources and recommend that any SEN be disclosed during the application stage so we can assess how best to support the learner.
6. Fees and Payment
A schedule of fees is published annually and includes:

7. Right to Refuse Admission
Traden Online School reserves the right to refuse admission if:
• The applicant provides false or incomplete information.
• The school is unable to meet the learner’s educational or support needs.
• The student’s or family’s past conduct poses a risk to the school community.
In such cases, the reason will be clearly explained to the parent/guardian.
8. Appeals Process
If an application is unsuccessful, parents may appeal the decision in writing within 10 working days. Appeals are reviewed by the School Principal and a decision is communicated within 7 days.
9. Policy Review
This Admissions Policy is reviewed annually by the Senior Leadership Team to ensure it remains current, inclusive, and aligned with best educational practices.
